The Right Path

Unknown Future

We sure don't know what the future holds. But we do know Who holds the future and as Believers, we can trust Him.

Will we ever feel afraid? Yes, we may at times but our Bible verse says, "But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in You." Psalm 56:3 NLT

I believe when fear knocks on the door we can answer it with our faith and trust in God.

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.

No Replay No Rewind

What are we waiting for? If we want to enjoy life we need to let go of what we think life is supposed to be and embrace it for what it is. There is something good in every day. We need to look for it.

The LORD has given us each day to enjoy. Your circumstances may not be what you think they're supposed to be, but there is always something to be glad about.

You Have The Cure

God's word brings healing to our entire body and life for those who find them.

Get Back Up!

I've shed a lot of tears in my life. Quite honestly, I think when we shed tears they can be healing. Tears do relieve pressure. They say tears of grief are made up of different chemistry than other tears. Tears of grief actually bring healing.

A strong person does cry, but they don't live in a pity party. A strong person gets back up and fights again.

The LORD will give us strength! He will bless us and give us peace so that we can get up and fight again.

Today I'd like to share one of the biggest and best surprises I ever had in life that changed my life forever.

I hadn't been feeling well for a few days. Not feeling well was unusual for me. I wasn't sure what could be wrong. I was thinking I had food poisoning. Since I wasn't getting any better I thought I'd better see the doctor.

When the doctor came in I told him I was pretty sure I had food poisoning. He nodded acting like I was right in my diagnosis. However, after he examined me he came up with his own diagnosis. Much to my surprise, he said, "Well, you certainly don't have food poisoning, you're pregnant!"

I was shocked! I muttered something crazy, "How did this happen?" Without missing a beat he replied, "If you don't know after having 2 other children I'm not going to tell you."

Well, today is Brandon's birthday. He certainly was one of the biggest and best surprises in my life. When he came into our life he changed our lives forever. Happy Birthday, Brandon. We love you! 

Quality Of Your Thoughts

Most people want to make a difference in the world. How about showing love and kindness to everyone. I read something this morning I thought was interesting. It said, "Close your eyes and send love to everyone in the world." Wow, now that's an idea!

When we are kind this verse says we benefit ourselves. Being cruel will only hurt us.

No Matter What

Sometimes our situations seem humanly impossible. But with God, He's into the details and everything is possible with Him.

It's our job to stop allowing our hearts to be troubled by people or events. We have peace given to us by the Lord. We need to use it.

When the women went to the tomb they had lost faith. They went there fully expecting to find Jesus' dead body. They had forgotten Jesus said He would rise in 3 days. (see Mark 8:31)

While we are waiting let's keep a good attitude even when things seem to be dead. Stay in faith.

Trust Me

This verse was an eye-opener for me. If we pay attention and pray ahead of time we might not give in to temptation so quickly.

Lifetime Memories

This Is Real Love

It's almost unbelievable that God loves each one of us even in our darkest times. I've felt God's' love in one of the darkest times in my life.

I wasn't always a Christian. In fact, I was very far from it! One night I was in a house where all of the rooms were painted black. It was a very dark time in my life. I went into the bathroom alone. As I was there the song, "Jesus Loves Me This I Know" came to my mind. Even in my darkest times when I didn't love Him, He broke through that darkness and demonstrated that He still loved me.

Our Bible verse says, "This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins." 1 John 4:10

Jesus is saying to each one of us, I loved you at your darkest even when you didn't love Me.

God loves each one of us as if there were only one of us.

Fully Trust Him

Yesterday was a heartbreaking day for our grandson, Noah. For months he's been telling me how he was going to go on a vacation to Florida on his birthday. However, yesterday that vacation was canceled.

As most of you know Noah is Autistic and he did not take this news very well. He was devastated and was crying his eyes out. For some reason, he decided he should write Governor DeWine a note, which he did.

This note was short and to the point! It read, "Noah No cancel" Shannon put this note in an envelope and Noah put it in the mailbox.

Martin Luther said, "The fewer the words the better the prayer."

Our Bible verse says, "When you pray, don't talk on and on as people do who don't know God. They think God likes to hear long prayers." Matthew 6:7 CEV

Maybe we need to remember that we don't need to go on and on when we pray. The Lord knows our hearts.

Pray To Be Strong

In times like these, we need to pray to be strong and courageous. We know that the LORD is with us.

Prisoners Of Hope
