It's essential to keep a good confession when we pray. When we pray, we need to keep believing and saying God is working, and He is going to work good out of every situation we are in.

Our Bible verse says. And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 NIV

If we know that in all things, God works for good, we will keep a good confession.

Live Your Abundant Life

It's not all up to God. It's up to us to do our part to live the abundant life Jesus died to give us. Everything we need to show us how is written in the Bible. God wants us to have a great life here on earth and eternal life with Him, and it's possible if we read and practice what the Book says.

Why allow the thief to steal, kill, and destroy your life? Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly.

If we stay joyful in hope, knowing that God can bring good out of every situation, we can remain patient in trouble. We can stay positive and patient if we stay persistent in prayer and keep a hopeful attitude.

There may be times in the future when we may feel afraid. But when we do, we can put our trust in God.

There was a TV program back in the day called Father Knows Best. When I read today's quote and our Bible verse, I thought about how our heavenly Father does know what is best for our lives.

I am thankful that the LORD our God will teach us what is best for us. He knows the way we should go. I pray we will trust Him completely. Our Father knows best!

In this world, we will have trouble. That's a fact of life! But we can cheer up and stay in peace when we remember Jesus overcame the world.

We need to ask ourselves why we are doing the things we do. Are we doing things for the right reasons?

I like to help people. I enjoy doing things and keeping busy. But there have been times when doing something for someone was not best for them. They were depending too much on me. I needed to step back. Even saying No can be doing the right thing for the right reason.

Special People

I have been blessed that God has chosen to put many special people in my life. Some exceptional people are those in the Dover/New Philidelphia, Ohio area.

Tonight is the big rivalry football game between Dover and NP. This is a fun week for both schools, and the Friday night football game caps off the week.

Many years ago, they made our family a part of their game by dedicating this fun event to Todd after he had died in a car accident. It was a fantastic night that I will never forget!

If the thoughts we meditate on and our words are acceptable to the LORD, we can live abundant lives no matter our circumstances.

I might add to this quote: pray on the treadmill. I say this because I pray every morning on the treadmill. It does not matter where or how you pray; just pray! God hears and answers prayers. Our Father wants to hear from us.

Even if we don't feel like praying, we should pray and never give up.

Paul had been in prison and stood before King Agrippa when he said these words. He had a lot of reasons not to be happy, but he said, "I think myself happy." We can do the same no matter the circumstances.

What Are You Afraid Of?

This week, I saw a question on FB that asked, "What Are You Afraid Of?" It was fascinating to see the answers in the comments. Most of the answers were "death". These people were afraid of dying.

When we have a personal relationship with God and have accepted what Jesus has done for us, we do not need to fear death.

Our Bible verse says. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff comfort me. Psalm 23:4 ESV

We can say, "I will not fear!" when we accept that Jesus has paid the price for our eternal life with Him. No matter what we go through, including death, we do not need to live in fear because God is with us!

In Times Like These

We also need discernment in times like these. We need to know what we believe and pray that we will not be deceived. It's so easy to believe a lie when it's cleverly presented.

In this world, we will all experience trouble. But no matter what we go through, when we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we can have peace inside and relax.

Jesus left us the gift of peace. His peace is much different than the peace the world gives. It's up to us not to let our hearts be troubled or afraid.

Repeating this Bible verse has helped me to calm down and stay at peace in troubled times. I know Jesus is with me.

My Comback

The day I turned my life over to the LORD began my comeback. I had no idea where I would go or what I would do, but I knew God had a good plan for my life.

I had asked God to bring good things out of Todd's death, and I knew He would do it. I knew it would have to be by His grace that anything good would come. I knew who I was, and so did He. I was no surprise to Him.

I needed a comeback, and I knew God was the only One who could give that to me.
