When we turn our attention to the Lord, we will experience His favor and honor even in our darkest times. Our Lord God is our light and He will guide us and help us to lift others up along the way.

Keep Your Confidence

We do not need to fear the future when we have our confidence in the LORD. We know that He is our helper no matter what we are going through.

We can say with confidence that the LORD is our helper. We don't need to be concerned about people. We will not fear when we keep our confidence in the LORD.

Remember This

We all make choices every day. However, I don't know how many people actually stop to think about the consequences of these choices.

Our Bible verse says, "We are allowed to do anything," so they say. That is true, but not everything is good. "We are allowed to do anything"--but not everything is helpful." 1 Corinthians 10:23 GNT

We certainly are free to make our own choices. God does not force us to do anything. We can choose eternal life or death. That's also our choice. Every day we make choices too. We can eat too much and gain weight. We can choose to stay at home from work and lose our job. Life is full of choices and consequences.

You are free to choose, but you are not free from the consequences of your choices.

Isn't Always Understandable

When we ask the LORD to show us the right path we may not understand why. That's okay, we just need to follow.

If we want to be a symbol of love in the world it's important to ask God for His wisdom to do so.

What the world needs now is wisdom that comes from above. When we have God's wisdom, we will be pure, friendly, peace-loving, gentle, sensible, kind, helpful, genuine, and sincere. Then and only then can we be symbols of love.

Today is the best day to be compassionate and kind. Ask God for wisdom to be a symbol of love to someone today.

Little Things

Last night our grandson, Noah, wanted to stay up until 10:00 because he was on vacation. His normal bedtime is at 8:00. Starting about 9:00 he watched his phone intently and announced each passing minute with delight! When 9:59 appeared on the phone he was over the top with excitement! He had made it until 10:00!

The LORD gave us this day to enjoy it! Noah sure enjoyed his day by just staying up until 10:00! This was a little thing but we will look back and remember it as a big thing.

The Best Plan

I love this verse and repeat it to myself when I don't understand what is going on. We know that all things are not good, but God causes everything to work together for good to those who are called according to His purpose for them.

God Will Show You

Impossible Difficult Done

We may be absolutely right! Our situation is impossible for us to solve. However, Jesus said that even if things are impossible for us everything is possible with God.

Ability

We all have a job to do. God has given us different gifts to perform services and the ability to do them. We need to ask to be filled with constant love so we can show love and compassion, especially in the world right now.

Have A Little Faith

There are many things we don't understand. It's interesting that most things we don't understand we hardly give it a second thought. However, when things affect our lives, we tend we feel anxious when we don't understand what's going on.

Jesus knew there were things we would not understand. But in this verse, He assured us that someday we would.

If we want to see what we're believing for we have to keep our faith strong. We can't add doubt, worry, anxiety, and every other negative thing to our believing. These send a mixed message. Negative thoughts will only weaken our faith.

When we keep our trust in the LORD our faith will stay strong. We won't be afraid of bad news when our faith is strong.

Every day we make choices. Our choices directly affect our lives in both positive and negative ways. Because this is so we need to carefully consider the choices we make.

Jesus has left us peace. However, it's up to us to not let our hearts be troubled or afraid. We can choose to live in peace, hope, and love.

A couple of weeks ago we were able to go to one of our grandson Eli's baseball games. This was a special treat for us as we don't live near them.

I was really excited to watch the game. It didn't matter to me who was up to bat or out in the field I found myself yelling, "Good eye", "What a catch", "Great swing", "Wow, what a hit!" etc. etc.

As I was all into the game a lady looked over at me and asked, "Are you with our team?" I looked over at our daughter, Shannon, and asked her, "Are we with this woman's team?" Shannon grinned and shook her head, "No."

I smiled and answered the lady, "I guess not but you have to know me, I give encouragement to all of the kids."

Our Bible verse says, "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11

This verse tells us we are to encourage one another and build each other up.

How do you know if someone needs encouragement? If they are breathing.

God's Guidance

God will guide us along the best pathway for our lives. When we honor the LORD by asking and following His guidance we will be astonished by our blessings. Keep this in mind...His guidance is unpredictable! I know this to be true through personal experience.

Notoriously Incorrect

We don't need to be anxious and worried when we trust the Lord who holds the universe in the palm of His hand.

God has given us the ability to choose one thought over another. We can choose to trust the Lord when we feel anxious and worried.

Our Bible verse says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." ~ Philippians 4:6 ~

We can come to God about anything. When we feel anxious, we can tell Him and be thankful that He hears us. Then we can choose to trust Him and let go of the worry thoughts that are making us feel anxious.

Don't believe every worried thought you have. Worried thoughts are notoriously incorrect.

God's Protection

Living a life where you know you are surrounded, loved, protected, and watched over by God is a wonderful way to live. I lived for many years without having this assurance.

We can rejoice and sing for joy because of God's love and care for us. We know God loves us and we love Him. Because of His love and protection, we can be truly happy even in these troubled times.

Unknown Future

We sure are living in uncertain times. We don't know what the future holds, but we do know Who holds the future.

When we read the Bible, we understand that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind. (see 2 Timothy 1:7) Our fear of the future does not come from God.

Our Bible verse says, "The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23

God is faithful. His love and mercy never end. If we used up all of His love and mercy yesterday, we will get a new supply every morning. Our all-knowing LORD will take care of us as we put our trust in Him.

Our unknown future is in the hands of the all-knowing God.

Light in the Darkness

Loving Others

I Can Do This

What a difference we would see in our country if people would show love and respect for each other. We don't need to think exactly alike to have unity. We can be united if we are humble enough to show love and respect.

If we were united in showing sympathy, brotherly love with a tender heart, and a humble mind we would see peace in our world. I truly believe this.
