If we keep our words and thoughts acceptable to the LORD, our behavior will put a smile on God's face and others' too.

What a comfort to know that we are never alone. We always have Jesus to talk to, no matter what we go through.

An old song goes, "I may have doubts and fears, my eyes be filled with tears. But Jesus is a friend who watches day and night. Oh, I go to Him in prayer; He knows my every care. And just a little talk with Jesus makes it right."

Our Bible verse says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

We are never alone because Jesus said I will never leave nor forsake you. This should give us comfort.

God's Peace Is A Golden Light

We all go through dark times in our lives. Yet, when we look toward God, we have His peace continually shining on us, giving us hope.

The gospel message is excellent news! We always have God's light shining on us, no matter how dark life gets. We have peace and love knowing God is light, and there is no darkness at all in Him.

Even on our darkest days, God's peace is a golden light continually shining on us.

We know that God is with us no matter how deep the waters are. He is with us through all of our challenging situations. So we can ask Him to help us do this right! Help us to grow and learn from whatever challenges life brings.

Trust God And Relax

It's easy to trust God when everything is going our way. But sometimes, when things aren't going our way, it isn't so easy. We start to question God.

I have found that trusting God, especially when times are difficult, gives me a sense of peace and joy. As a result, I tend to relax, knowing God is good, and He is working.

Our Bible verse says, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 NIV

When we trust God, He fills us with His joy and peace. We can relax as we have hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. What a way to live!

I love how the Bible tells us how to have a peaceful and positive life. It shows us how important what we think about is. We have a choice in what we choose to think about. Remember that! Change your thoughts and change your life.

Praise More And Worry Less

I've noticed in the Bible that we're often told what to do, but we are not told the results we will receive if we do. We just need to put the verses into practice and see.

What would our life be like if, from the time we got up until we went to bed, we were thinking of things to praise the LORD for? I believe we would be a lot happier and worry less.

If we want to live the abundant life that Jesus died to give us, we need to follow the instruction book, the Bible. This book teaches us how to be a blessing to others, which adds value to our lives and others.

Interesting, this says in everything, do to others what you want them to do to you! This is a straightforward way to live. Treat others how you want to be treated.

There's Power In Love

The Bible is filled with verses about love. "The greatest is Love." 1 Corinthians 13: 13 "Love your enemies"(Matthew 5:44) is strange. Why should we love our enemies? Because I believe that love is the most powerful force on earth. It will change us and can change an enemy into a friend.

There is nothing in the Bible that won't be of benefit to us and others. When we love, it frees us. It breaks the power that hate has. When we love our enemies and pray for them, it enables us to live a powerful life.

Our Bible verse says, "But I tell you to love your enemies and pray for anyone who mistreats you." Matthew 5:44 CEV

When we love those, who don't love us and pray for anyone who mistreats us, it's a powerful force. Why should we be unhappy when we can be filled with love. The most tremendous power on earth.

Keep Silent and Calm

It is a significant relief when we leave everything in God's hands. I heard yesterday that anxiety is a massive problem for people today. If people would leave everything in God's hands, I believe this would relieve most of the anxiety they feel.

Our Bible verse says, "The LORD will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm." Exodus 14:14 AMP

Isn't this interesting? The LORD will fight for us; we only need to keep silent and calm. But, wow, keeping silent and remaining calm when we want to vent can be challenging. However, I believe it will relieve many of the anxieties people are experiencing today.

What Are We Missing?

When we know we serve a big God who can do big things, we should feel free to ask Him for anything. There are many Bible verses about praying. I pray about anything and everything.

Sometimes we don't see answers to my prayer right away, but at other times we do. Sometimes the answer is yes; sometimes, it's no. Sometimes it's not the right timing. But it shouldn't stop us from asking.

Our Bible verse says, You do not have because you do not ask. James 4:2.

What are we missing if we don't even bother to ask? This is something to think about.

Meaning and Purpose

I have found this quote to be accurate in my life. Once I gave my life to the Lord, I desired to do things I would never have thought of. I found that these new desires gave my life meaning and purpose.

I did care about people in the past, but now it was different. I saw people differently. It seemed I could spot hurting people and offer a word of encouragement. I went to nursing homes, homes for troubled teens, homeless shelters, etc. We became foster parents and invited 11 children to live with us. These were opportunities for a time in our lives.

As I got older, my desires changed. I found myself having the urge to write. This was something new, but it brought enjoyment. I never worried or wondered what I'd write. I knew the LORD would help me write whatever He put in my heart.

Today's Bible verses say, Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it. Psalm 37:4&5

When we give ourselves to the LORD, He will put His desires in our hearts. He will not only give us the desire but also help us do whatever He has desired us to do. Now our lives will have meaning and purpose.

Desire God, and you will have desires from God.

God Surprised Me

When we moved back to Michigan, I looked up a friend from high school I had lost touch with online. I was surprised that Vicki only lived a few miles from me. I found her phone number and called. It wasn't long, and we were back together.

From that day on, we stayed in contact. I spent a lot of time at the lake with her and her husband, Gary. Almost every day, we sent each other text messages. We shared a lot of ups and downs over these years.

This past year, Vicki died. I was so sad and thought about her every day. Vicki's birthday was coming up this month, and I wondered how God would bring something good out of this day.

Well, God kept His promise and did bring something good out of this day. Our new grandson, Gustave Jozef (Baby G), was born on Vicki's birthday.

This Bible verse is a favorite of mine. "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them." Romans 8:28

I know God can and will bring something good out of every situation in our lives. Now when I think of Vicki, I will remember how God surprised me by having our precious grandson be born on her birthday.

Unfailing Love

These Bible verses come from different versions, they say." Love never fails. Love never ends. Love will last forever. Love never dies. Love is eternal. 1 Corinthians 13:8

If you can trust anything, you can trust that God loves you! His love never fails, it never ends, it last forever, it never dies, and it is eternal.

I trust in God's unfailing love! I pray you will too.

Since I live in Michigan, we are blessed to watch the changing seasons. Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter are totally different. I enjoy watching the seasons change and seeing the beauty each season holds.

Today's quote, "Each moment of the year has its own beauty. Embrace the current season of your life. Seasons change, and so do we." reminded me of this.

I enjoy the changing seasons and seeing the beauty each season holds. However, I hadn't thought about "Embrace the current season of my life. Seasons change, and so do we." before.

I'm unsure if I'm in my life's fall or winter season. I know I'm past spring and summer. lol

I hope and pray whatever season you're in, you'll take time to embrace every season and look for the beauty in each. I know I'll be more aware of doing this now.

God Takes It Personally

Our Bible verse says, "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did to Me.' Matthew 25:40

God takes it personally how we treat others. Therefore, whatever we do, good or bad, to others, we are doing it to God. We will never look at any person who God does not love. Therefore, we need to treat each other accordingly.

People can go to church and after church go out to eat. How they treat the staff people working God sees. How we treat anyone is essential. God takes it personally because how we treat people He loves is how He sees we are treating Him.

God sees how we treat others, and it's important to Him. So it's not only how we treat people who can do something for us; it's important how we treat people who can't do anything for us.

Expression Of Love

Patience and kindness are an expression of love. When we have God's love in our hearts, we can let His love show by being patient and kind.

When you're tempted to lose patience with someone, think how patient God has always been with you.

Teach Me

I read that kindness is the #1 thing that makes a person attractive. I thought that was very interesting. So when we show love and kindness to others, it not only blesses them but it makes us more beautiful. But how do we do that with every person?

We can show God's kindness and love to every person if we are ever ready to believe in the best of every person. It doesn't matter the circumstances; love endures everything without weakening.
