Today, we are having a skunk professional help with our skunk problems. We tried all we knew to do to no avail, so we called a professional.

How often do we do everything we know to do first and then decide to pray? We can always pray first and ask God for help. After all, He is The Professional!

Our Bible verse says. Call to me, and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. Jeremiah 33:3 ESV

We can pray and know that God will always answer. He will tell us things that we would never know on our own.

Shut Out The Noise

It's incredible what we can hear when we shut out the noise. Whether external or internal, it's still noise.

I do think we hear God's voice more than we realize. If you were about to say something and somehow knew you should just be still and let it go, I believe that is God's still, small voice speaking.

Our Bible verse says. Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

When we are still, we know who God is. If we stop the noise, we can hear Him speaking in a still, small voice.

It's tough to hear God's still, small voice whenever you live a life of noise.

Valuable Gift

For some reason, I thought about how God protected and guided me for many years when I never prayed. Then, it dawned on me that other people were praying for me even though I was not praying.

People put this verse into practice for me, praying on my behalf. We can all do this for each other!

Life happens! It's not if but when. The next question is, what will you do when life happens? We all go through difficult times. I don't know one person who has had a stress-free life. But I have watched people and noticed how they deal with life.

Years ago, I wrote out Paul's prayers. He never prayed that we would have a stress-free life. He prayed we would be strong in our inner selves during difficult times.

Today's Bible verse says. I ask God from the wealth of His glory to give you power through His Spirit to be strong in your inner selves. Ephesians 3:16 GNT

What a great way to pray! We can ask God to give us power through His Spirit to be strong on the inside during difficult times.

When life gets too difficult to bear, your inner strength can help you fight your toughest battles.

Watch In Hope

Hope helps us see that there is light despite the darkness. When we go through difficult times, having hope in the Lord can help us get through.

Watching and hoping for the LORD during difficult times is a choice. Hope helps us to know God hears us.

Today is National Day Of Prayer.

What would happen if everyone prayed for their country? I believe we would see incredible results.

We will be blessed when we make God the LORD of our nation. Our part is to pray and do everything possible to live in peace with everybody.

Let's do our part today and every day, pray for our country and live in peace with everybody.

It's interesting how taking our minds off of ourselves and thinking about being a blessing to someone else helps us be happy.

It doesn't take much to be a blessing —giving a compliment, sending a card, sending a kind text, or an instant message. Just thinking purposely about being a blessing to someone else gives us joy.

Self Control

We have been given self-control along with power and love.

Years ago, my husband was working out of town, so I was alone. At first, I was fine during the day, but I started to feel uncomfortable at night. I had friends suggest I buy a gun or at least record the sound of a weapon in case someone tried to break in.

When I went to bed at night, I would wake up hearing noises and feeling half-way scared. I prayed, remembered I was not alone, and put in earplugs. I stopped hearing noises and slept like a baby.

Once, I remembered that the Lord was with me and that I was not alone; I put in my earplugs and could be brave, strong, and fearless.

The LORD is always with us and will give us His strength and power when we are weary and weak.

Yesterday, I saw a post asking if the person thought maybe "Karma" had something to do with why they were going through something. This reply got me thinking.

I don't know about Karma, but the Bible says much about how we treat others.

Today's Bible verses say. Do to others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6:31 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Galatians 6:7

There we have it! Treat others the way you want to be treated. And you will reap what you sow. Call it Karma if you wish to, but it is what it is.
