Today is Pentecost Sunday. The Believers were filled with the Spirit of love on Pentecost. We can pray every morning to fill us with God's Spirit of love. Then, if we will, we can sing and be glad all our lives.

I love how this says, "And we know. " So when we know God uses everything for a purpose, we should always look for the good God is doing.

This month has opened my eyes to this more and more. We have no idea what tomorrow will bring. In fact, we don't know what the next minute will bring. It's a sobering thought, but it's true. We are not promised tomorrow, so living in the moment and making every minute count is essential.

We should be happy before everything is just how we like it. We need to enjoy our life right now! This verse says, to rejoice and be glad in this day!

We all have so much to be thankful for. Yes, we all have things we can complain about, but we also have so much to be grateful for. The happiest people are thankful people.

When I think about all the good things in my life and say, Thank You, Lord, it lifts any negativity off of me. I feel better!

When we pray with thanksgiving, it changes the way we pray. We focus on our blessings more. We no longer feel as anxious when we make our requests with thanksgiving. Being thankful is for our benefit!

When we have a lot to do, we can relax and take a breath, knowing we can trust God's path. I don't know about most people, but I start to feel anxious when I have several things all coming up at once. I want to please everyone when I know how important each event is.

Yes, our times are in God's hands. Knowing God will work out what needs to be done in His time is essential.

Jesus has given us His peace. This is not something the world can provide us with. Now it's up to us to accept His peace and not let our hearts be troubled or afraid. This is possible when we put our complete trust in Him.

Ask For Wisdom

Whenever we are in a situation where we need wisdom, we should ask God for it. He knows us and will not find fault with our weaknesses. God will generously give us wisdom, but we need to ask.

Get Up Eight

There are times when we all disappoint ourselves with our behavior. Yesterday late afternoon was one of those times for me.

After an afternoon of shopping, we stopped and bought mulch. After unloading several bags, Bill left to buy more. I opened one bag of our usual brand of mulch, and it had changed! To me, it mainly looked like sawdust!

So, to make a long story short, we put this mulch down anyway. Let's say I wasn't in a very happy mood. To make matters worse, my throat was itching, my lips tingling, my ears clogged, and my chest hurt. But it was down!

Today is a new day! I may have fallen yesterday, but I'm up today with the Lord's help!

When I read this quote, I thought about priming a pump. All you needed to start the water flowing was a small amount of water. It's the same with our thoughts. If we start thinking one small positive thought, it creates a flow of good thoughts.

Because we often moved when our children were young, I tried to make a point that we should enjoy where we were because we wouldn't be there long.

My sister-in-law was an expert at cross-stitch. I admire her ability, so I decided to give it a try. So I cross-stitched the words "Bloom Where You Are Planted" and hung it by the door. I thought reading these words would be an excellent reminder to the kids and me to bloom.

Being content in whatever situation we are in is a learning process. I have learned if I want to be happy, I have to learn to be content no matter what the situation.

Fear Can't Stop Me Now!

We all feel fear at times. But we don't need to let fear stop us. We can't allow fear to stand in our way if there is something we need to do. Having courage doesn't mean we won't feel afraid. It means you don't let fear stop you.
