Divine Miracle Of Grace

Forgiveness is the divine miracle of grace. The cost to God was the Cross of Christ. ~ Oswald Chambers

I don't know how many people think about the forgiveness God gives. This is not something that we earn. It's a divine miracle of grace. The cost was paid when Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

Our ground was covered with snow this morning. When I looked outside, I thought of this Bible verse. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow." Isaiah 1:18

Another fascinating verse said, “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for My own sake and will never think of them again. Isaiah 43:25 NLT

God forgives our sins for His sake and will never think of them again! Now we should do the same. First, ask for forgiveness, then drop it, leave it, and let it go!

Forgiveness is the divine miracle of grace. The cost to God was the Cross of Christ.

Some people show up at just the right time. They come for a reason. We may not know at the time, but later we can see there was a reason they were in our lives.

Some people are seasonal. They are in our lives for a season. But seasons change, and so do people. They come, and they go.

People do come and go in our lives. I remember back in the day, moving often. It was hard to make friends and then have to say goodbye. However, many of these friends have stayed in my life for a lifetime.

BELIEVE Plaque

This past year I bought a bright red plaque with white letters that said "BELIEVE" and hung it on the front porch. We have a port-hole window, and I see this word every time I go up the stairs.

I can't tell you what a blessing looking out and seeing this word has been. Whenever I was going through something difficult, I would look out the window and read this word, BELIEVE. Just reading this word gave me hope that things would improve. There were times I purposely stood and read the word repeatedly.

Little did I know what an impact this BELIEVE plaque would have when we bought it. Believing can give us hope when things look bad. Believing can remind us to expect the best that is yet to come.

Years ago, I came across some Bible verses that got my attention and made me shudder. I wondered where I would be had I not believed.

Here are the verses, Where would I be if I did not believe I would experience the LORD's favor in the land of the living? Wait for and confidently expect the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the LORD. Psalm 27:13&14

Believing and expecting to see God's favor daily helps us stay strong and gives us courage. I shudder to think where I would be had I not believed I would see God's blessing in my everyday life.

I needed clarification on the title the Peale Center had given a letter I had written. It read, "She Surrendered To God." Huh? I wanted to understand why they would share my letter with this title.

I didn't realize at the time that I was surrendering to God by asking the Lord to bring something positive out of Todd's death and to use me if needed. I was releasing my need to know when, where, or why. I wanted Him to have complete control.

Our Bible verse says, Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You, I entrust my life. Psalm 143:8

As we entrust our lives to the LORD, know we can trust Him to show us the best way to go.

In my Bible, I have written, "How highly do you value your freedom? How strongly do I resist having it stolen?" These questions are fundamental to me.

If we want to be free to live the abundant life Jesus died to give us, we need to value the freedom we have and resist having it stolen.

These Bible verses say, It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Galatians 5:1 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

If we want to live in freedom, no matter our circumstances, we can find this freedom by reading the instruction book, the Bible, and putting what we read into practice. Then, when we know the truth, we will be free. Christ has set us free to have a wonderful life!

Words do matter! What we say and think about ourselves can make or break us.

We all talk to ourselves. But what would happen if we got up every morning and started our day telling ourselves how thankful we are for what God has done for us. I genuinely believe we would have a positive attitude about ourselves, and our day would be much brighter.

Today is election day in the USA. There are people on both sides of the issues this country faces. Speaking for myself, I vote, and I pray. Then, after I have done my part, I put the situation in God's hands. When I do, He puts His peace in my heart. I truly believe that God will take care of me no matter the outcome.

In any election, we have a part to play. We vote, and we pray. Now we have to stop allowing ourselves to be troubled and afraid of the outcome. When we do, God puts His peace in our hearts.
