It's important not to allow another person or event to control our emotions. To maintain peace we need to be able to rise above the storm and find the sunshine.
Our Bible verse says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27 NIV
It's our job to stop allowing our hearts to be troubled by people or events. We have peace given to us by the Lord. We need to use it.
