Keeping your peace is powerful. If we want to be free we have to stand up for ourselves. We have to take responsibility to not take the bait and get mad every time someone upsets us.
When we take responsibility to keep our peace this is freedom. We can't control everything or everybody. It's not their responsibility not to upset us. If we keep our peace we can be free no matter what is going on. Run your own life and stand up for yourself by keeping your peace.
Our Bible verse says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27 NIV
We have peace because Jesus has given us His peace. We have to take responsibility and let not our hearts be troubled. We can do this when we stop blaming our upset on others or circumstances.
