It is our choice what we focus on. Whether we feed fear or faith, worry or confidence, doubt or belief, they will grow in our minds. As they grow in our minds, they will affect our lives.
Our Bible verse says, Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8 NLT
There you have it. Fix your thoughts; think about these things, dwell on them, meditate on them, etc. You can read these words in different translations of the Bible, but they mean the same thing. We are to think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
