For our hearts to be like a calm lake, we can do our part by not complaining. Complaining doesn't do any good. It only keeps us in a negative mood, and we complain and remain.
Our Bible verse says, "I have learned to be content in whatever situation I am in." Philippians 4:11 ISV
Being content doesn't seem to come naturally. We have to learn to be content. I don't know about you, but I'm still learning. So I don't want to complain and remain.
