This morning I went out for a walk. All along the way, I had to dodge sprinklers. I thought about how dodging these obstacles was a lot like life. We have to dodge many obstacles to get to where we're going.
When obstacles arise we may need to change our direction, but we don't need to change our goals. We can be grateful for these obstacles because they have strengthened us as we continue on our journey.
Our Bible verse says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. James 1:2&3
When we know that there is something inside of us that is greater than any obstacle we can consider it pure joy because we know these obstacles strengthen us and produce perseverance as we continue on our journey.
