How much do we miss because we don't discipline ourselves? We live in regret when we could be living in freedom. There will be pain either way. The pain of discipline is less painful than the pain of regret, as far as I'm concerned.
Our Bible verses say. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward, there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. Hebrews 12:11 Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” Matthew 26:41
We can be trained by disciplining ourselves when we know it will bring about the reward we want. We need to pray so we won't give in to temptation. Our spirit is willing, and we know it's the best, but our flesh is weak.
