Encouragement Does More

Correction does much, but encouragement does more. ~ Encourage One Another Quotes ~

When I was in college, I took English Composition 1. I was asked to stay after class one day. I wasn't sure why, but as most of my life had gone, I thought I was going to get more correction about something.

However, this professor said something that has stayed with me all of my life. She simply said, "Kay, I see you have a gift for writing." I was stunned. I wasn't accustomed to being complimented on anything related to school.

I left college and never wrote anything until after Todd died. However, this simple word of encouragement stayed with me, and it helped me to want to try writing, with God's help.

Our Bible verse says. So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

This woman professor will never know what her encouragement meant to me. However, the Bible instructs us to encourage one another.

Correction does much, but encouragement does more.
