The Bible makes it very clear that when we confess our sins to God, He forgives them. He doesn't hold our wrongdoings against us. This was one reason Jesus died on the cross. The sacrifice He paid made it possible for us to come directly to God the Father and pray. Now, we need to forgive ourselves.

I have found that the devil is good at reminding us of everything we do or have done wrong. Guilt is from the devil. God has forgiven us. We should desire to do the right thing, but guilt is not part of that.

Our Bible verses say. But if we confess our sins to God, He can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away. 1 John 1:9 He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. Psalm 103:12 For I will forgive their iniquities and remember their sins no more." Hebrews 8:12 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1

When we are in Christ Jesus, there is no condemnation. Our sins are removed, and God no longer remembers them. We confess the things we have done wrong to get them off our chest and to stop carrying them. We have been forgiven!
