I didn't know for many years that I could choose my thoughts. When negative thoughts came knocking, I didn't realize I could slam the door and not allow them to enter.

Our Bible verses opened my eyes. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8 NIV Put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9

This verse showed me I could slam the door on negative thinking and think good thoughts. But to do it, I needed to put it into practice. If I did, God's peace would be with me.
