When I think back on my life after I gave myself to the Lord, I am amazed! I never dreamed I would do the things I've actually done.
Today's Bible verse is the reason why. I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 BSB
Most people know this verse, but I would like you to see it in the Amplified Bible. "I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]." Philippians 4:13 Amp.
The very fact we are breathing is a gift from God. However, to do the things God calls us to do and fulfill our purpose, we need His strength and confident peace. Whatever we are called to do, we are self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency. We are ready for anything and equal to anything because of our inner strength and confident peace.
