One of the best ways to activate our joy is to control the way we respond when trouble strikes.
Our Bible verse says, "I've told you this so that my peace will be with you. In the world, you'll have trouble. But cheer up! I have overcome the world." John 16:33 GWT
"Cheer up?" Most people don't automatically respond by cheering up when trouble comes. We can't have peace on the inside if we don't control the way we respond to trouble.
If you are a Christian you have everything you need to respond in the right way when trouble strikes. You have the fruit of the Spirit on the inside. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Activate these gifts.
When you can't control what's happening...control the way you respond to what's happening.
