Nothing can drain our energy faster than drama. There's a big difference between drama and listening to a person who has a real problem. Part of living a positive life is showing love and kindness whenever we can.
I have this Bible verse written in the front of my Bible. "Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end." Hebrews 12:2 GNT
When we keep our eyes fixed (focused) on Jesus we will invest our energy in living a positive life and avoid drama.
