What are you expecting? When we have hope we are expecting something good to happen. In fact, the word "hope" means a positive expectation.
This Bible verse is one of my favorites, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." Romans 15:13 ESV
When we have hope we are filled with joy and peace in our believing. Even before we see anything we can be happy because of our positive expectations.
