What goes on inside of us is so important. Our thoughts can make us or break us. If we're filled with anger, fear, hostility etc they will effect our outer life. Our inner life can sap our energy and drag us down. Or our inner life can fill us with energy and vitality.
A person can dress up and look good on the outside but be a total mess on the inside. What goes on inside can and will effect not only our mental health but our phycial health as well.
Our Bible verse says, "You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God." 1 Peter 3:4
The beauty that comes from within is our inner life. When we look good on the inside we look good on the outside too.
Our inner life is more important than our outer life.
