When we think of what a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly this gives us some sense of what transformation takes. We like instant results, but to change it takes time, patience and struggle.
We may not be where we used to be, but we're not where we need to be either. We're okay and we're on our way!
Our Bible verse says, "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2 NLT
Transformation takes time. We can't be like the world in our reactions always worrying and upset about things. We can learn how to think differently and slowly but surely we will change. It will take patience.
