We all have had many negative things happen in our lives. We can rent space in our heads to these unpleasant things if we choose. However, if we want to be happy we need to only rent space to good tenants.
Our Bible verse tells us what kinds of thoughts to rent space to, "Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." Philippians 4:8
It's our choice who or what we rent space to in our heads. If we want to be happy we can focus our thoughts on things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
