Yesterday was our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We were busy making plans when I received a phone call. On the other end of the line was our cousin. She was calling to let us know that Bill's Aunt Chris had just died.
Aunt Chris was getting up in years so we weren't really surprised, but for her to die on our anniversary was unexpected.
It wasn't too long ago we all went out to eat with Aunt Chris. During the meal, Bill told her that when he was a child he thought she was an angel.
Aunt Chris was very sweet, pretty, and she was also a nurse. Back in the day nurses wore all white. So when she was wearing her nurses uniform and being so beautiful Bill was sure she must be an angel. When Bill told Aunt Chris this you should have seen her smile.
Our Bible verse says, How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog--it's here a little while, then it's gone. James 4:14 NLT
We don't know what will happen yet today let alone tomorrow. Life happens while we're busy making other plans.
