There's an interesting story about Abraham Lincoln. He was being told about some lies people were saying about him. Lincoln was silent for the longest time which infuriated the man. Finally, he spoke. Lincoln said, "The dogs keep howling, but moon keeps shining."
Today's Bible verse shows us how to shine when criticised, "Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you." Luke 6:28
We've all had people talk about us in unkind ways. We can bless them and pray for them. Hurting people hurt people. We can also take advice from the moon. The dogs may bark, but we can just keep on shining!
