Everything does happen for a reason, including our relationships with people. Just as seasons change, so do the seasons in our lives, along with the people we meet on life's journey.

I've been blessed to have met many people. Some from childhood, others from the many moves we have made over the years. Some have been in my life for a reason, some for only a season, and many for a lifetime. When we know the difference, we can live in peace. Not everyone is supposed to be a lifetime friend.

Look For The Beauty

This week, we drove up north. I wanted to bring home the angel we put on my folk's grave and do some work on the gravesite.

The trip was great! I was so happy to see the bright colors of the trees as we drove. They seemed especially bright this year.

Stand Firm

Stay Calm

God tells us to stay calm, and He will get us through whatever we face. For me, this is easier said than done. I believe God will give me strength and help me, but staying calm is another story.

Right now, a few situations are upsetting me. I tell myself to stay calm and trust God, but my feelings struggle to adjust to what I know is right. I know good and well that if I don't get a grip, my health will suffer.

It's hard to comprehend how God, who tells the sun to rise, can actually care about us. God knows everything about us. We are precious to Him.

God knows exactly how many hairs we have on our heads. How crazy is that? He tells us not to be afraid because we are valuable to Him.

Don't Take The Bait

The enemy doesn't trap you with something obvious. He uses bait! One of the most deceptive is offense. It only works if you take it.

God Has A Way

Yesterday, I watched Caleb Flynn's sentencing. It was amazing to hear Ashley's family forgive Caleb and say, over and over, that God would bring good out of this tragedy.

These people showed what it's like to be a Christian. They made it clear that just because you're a Christian doesn't mean nothing bad will happen. But when it does, God will bring something good out of it.

Our Bible verse says. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 NIV

These people knew that in all things God works for good for those who love Him. These people loved God, and they knew God would bring good out of their daughter's death. To me, just giving this testimony in court was evidence of God working good.

God can and will bring very good things out of very bad things.

Pray Bold Prayers

God is honored when we pray seemingly impossible things as well as seemingly small things. When these impossible things happen, everyone will know they can only be attributed to God.

I've seen this over and over in my own life. My one bold prayer was to ask God to use me. I had no idea how He could or would do that, since I had no qualifications. But He has, and in so doing He has gotten all of the glory as far as I'm concerned.

I had no qualifications, but I started to write inspirational things and put them in a blog for storage. These posts all point people to God. The next thing I knew, people from around the world were reading them. I've posted 3,971 posts, and last month 98,254 people read them. I don't know how they find them. I don't advertise. It is all because of a bold prayer, and God gets the glory for it all.

Our Bible verse says. Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. 1 Chronicles 4:10 NIV

Jabez prayed a bold prayer, and we can do the same.

God honors bold prayers because bold prayers honor God.

Step By Step
