We humble ourselves before God by giving Him all our anxieties and cares. ~ Quote ~
Today I heard a message on humility. I had never thought that giving God all of our anxieties and cares was an act of humility until I heard the two verses read together.
Here are the two verses. "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:6&7 NIV
Here it is plain and simple. It's an act of humility to give all our anxiety to God. God will lift us up in due time when we totally trust Him.
