I'm sure all of us have had people say negative things about us. It may hurt, but we can keep in mind that people don't determine our future; God does.
Our Bible verse says. You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save many people's lives. Genesis 50:20 NLT
This is the story about Joseph. His brothers intended to harm him, but God used the situation to put him in a position to save many people's lives. God does the same thing for us. It doesn't matter what people say or do. God can and will bring good out of it.
