We do not have to wait for others to encourage us. But we can and should encourage ourselves.

Even God encouraged Himself when He created our world. After each creation, He said, "This is good." He even said, "This is very good." The Bible did not report that the angels were standing around applauding Him. He encouraged Himself, and so can we.

Our Bible verse says. But David strengthened himself in the Lord. 1 Samuel 30:6

Thanking God and encouraging ourselves is a compliment to Him. This may not come naturally to us, but we can do it intentionally.

Encourage yourself in the Lord.
