Enjoy The Life

Life is short. Too many times, we waste it on being angry or sad. Why waste the short life we have? Let's be happy and enjoy the life Jesus died to give us.

This Bible verse changed my thinking. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10 ESV

When I realized I was allowing the thief to steal the good life Jesus died to give me, I put my foot down! I wasn't about to waste the abundant life Jesus died to give me by being angry or sad.

Life is short. Don't waste it being angry or sad. Be happy and enjoy the life Jesus died to give you.

When We Don't Understand

There are a lot of things in the Bible we don't understand. For example, we don't know why we should love our enemies. After all, they don't like us. Another one, why should we forgive people who don't care that they even hurt us?

These two principles are taught in the Bible. We may not understand them, but we have peace when we trust the Lord and put them into practice.

Our Bible verse says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not depend on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5 ISV

We may not understand God's ways. His way of doing things may not make sense to our understanding. But interesting enough, when we put them into practice, they work!

Faith is trusting God even when you don't understand.

Freedom From Fear to Faith

When I started to study the Bible, I was sort of afraid. But I took a step of faith and decided to find out what this book had to say.

Much to my surprise, I found the Bible to be a book of freedom. There was even a verse that said, "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 The more I studied and understood, the more freedom I found.

Our Bible verse says, "God arms me with strength. His perfect way sets me free." 2 Samuel 22:33 GWT.

God does arm us with His strength to do whatever we need to do. So, therefore, doing life His way will set us free from fear to faith.

Freedom is when we choose to rise above our fears and put our faith in God.

Hallelujah

We have so much to be thankful for. It will improve your mood if you think about all you have to be thankful for. The things you have and the things you don't have that you're happy you don't.

Our Bible verse says, Praise the LORD! (Hallelujah!) Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever! Psalm 106:1 AMP

We should all praise the LORD for He is good. He shows us mercy, and His loving-kindness lasts forever. This is more than enough to be thankful for.

There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.

Something Good is About to Happen

When we are always looking for something good to happen, it keeps us focused in the right direction.

Our Bible verse says, "I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living." Psalm 27:13 KJV

We lose heart when we don't believe we will see the goodness of the LORD in our present life. How much better to always be expecting to see God's goodness. I like to say, "Something good is going to happen today!"

Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.

Passing Through

C.S. Lewis said, "The fact that our heart yearns for something Earth can't supply is proof that Heaven must be our home."

We do long for something that this world can not supply is accurate. It's beautiful to know that Heaven is our home, and we are just passing through.

Our Bible verse says, But our citizenship is in Heaven. Philippians 3:20

Oh yes, our citizenship is in Heaven. We are just passing through. So let's enjoy the journey until we return Home.

My home is in Heaven. I'm just passing through this world.

I Can Help It

I used to be a big worrier. I would always say, "I can't help it!" But I found out I can help it. When I learned that I was free to not worry and I could put everything in God's hands and be thankful, I changed. When a worrying thought came to my mind, I would say, "Thank you, Lord, for working on this.

I also learned that one of the definitions of worry was to torment oneself with thoughts. So I decided I was smart enough not to want to torment myself.

Our Bible verse says, Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers, ask God for what you need, always asking Him with a thankful heart. Philippians 4:6 GNT

When we are thankful, it helps us to not worry and ask God for what we need.
