God Will Take Care of You

When we know that God loves us, that He is there for us, and that He will always take care of us, we can relax. We don't need to live in worry and fear when we don't understand what is happening.

Today's Bible verse says, "I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you." Isaiah 46:4

This verse should give us peace. No matter how old we are, God says He will take care of us. He will give us whatever we need because He is with us.

Build Yourself Up in Faith

We are living in dark times right now. It's hard to know who to trust. For me personally, I've made a decision to put all of my trust in the Lord.

How am I going to do that? I'm going to fill my mind with good things. I am wise to the game as to what is going on in our world. However, I aim to live the abundant life Jesus died to give me.

Our Bible verse says, "But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit," Jude 1:20 ESV

This verse tells us that we need to build ourselves up in our faith and pray. To build ourselves up in faith, we need to fill our minds with faith-filled things.

To trust God in the light is nothing, but trust Him in the dark. That is faith.

Forget Everything And Run

The choice is yours.

Every day we face challenges. We can allow fear to stop us, or we can put our trust in the Lord. We are living in some difficult times right now. We all have to make a decision on how we're going to live.

Our Bible verse says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

God does not give us a spirit of fear. When we put our trust in the Lord, He gives us power, love, and a sound mind.

We have a choice to make every day when fear comes to call. We can either forget everything and run, or we can face everything and rise. The choice is ours.

Give It To God

It's so easy to worry. Let's give it to God and accept His peace in return.

Worry robs us of peace. When we give ourselves and our worries to God, we can begin to live the abundant life God has for us.

Our Bible verse says, "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done." Philippians 4:6 NLT

Let's tell God what we need and thank Him for all he has done. When we do, we can stop worrying about everything. We can accept His peace and enjoy our lives.

It's so easy to worry. Let's give it to God and accept His peace in return.

Living an Abundant Life

I had never heard of living an abundant life until I read books by Dr. Norman V. Peale. Dr. Peale talked a lot about living an overcoming life. I was fascinated when I learned I could live this life right here on earth. I wanted this life! But I didn't understand how. It took me some time to understand, but I didn't give up.

Interestingly, I didn't have an interest in the Bible or God. However, as I read Dr. Peale's books, I was beginning to see how living an abundant life was directly related to the Bible. I was shocked!

I bought a Bible and started to highlight verses that seemed to speak directly to me. One particular verse spoke about this abundant life. It said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10 NLT

How much of my life had I allowed the thief to steal through worry, fear, and dread? Let's just say, plenty! Now I could see that Jesus not only came to give me eternal life, but He came so I could have an abundant life right here on earth.

I'll admit, there are times when I still allow the thief to kill, steal, and destroy my life through wrong thinking. But I haven't given up! Because of this verse, I know that Jesus wants me to live an abundant life. I want to live the life that Jesus died to give me.

Be Filled with God's Love

What an amazing way to live! When we are filled with God's love, our life will be worth living.

Our Bible verse says, "Fill us each morning with Your constant love, so that we may sing and be glad all our life." Psalm 90:14 GNT

When we pray and ask God to fill us with His love, we can be glad and have a life worth living.

Life is worth living because we find the ultimate joy of life through God's love.

New Beginning

As we begin today to write our life's book, let's remember each chapter will be different than the other. Some days will go smoothly, but in every life, a little rain must fall. We can learn from every experience we go through. If we learn to trust the Lord more,

because of these experiences, it will be to our advantage.

Our Bible verse says, Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5&6

When we fully trust the LORD, we won't need to have to figure everything out. Let's seek His will in all we do, and we'll be writing a good book.
