It's amazing what we can do if we really want to. Boy, it's hard to stop an, "I want to attitude."

Our Bible verses today say, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might..." Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. Colossians 3:23

When people ask, "What do you do? Let's say, "Whatever it takes." When we have an 'I want to attitude' we can do whatever our hand finds to do with all our hearts.

Be Nice

I'm sure over the years we've all heard or said the words, "Be nice." What a difference our world would be if we actually put "Be nice" into practice.

Our Bible verse today says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:32 ESV

If we are kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving, we will be nice. I believe the world is filled with nice people. But if we can't find one we can choose to be one.

We're No Surprise To God

When God designed the plan for our life it wasn't dependent on us being perfect. Our mistakes are no surprise to God. ~ Quotes ~

I well remember the day I gave my life to the Lord. Somehow I knew I was no surprise to God. I said something like, "Well Lord have at it! You know what You're getting when You got me! I know I'm no surprise to You."

Our Bible verses today say, "I chose you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born." Jeremiah 1:5 HCSB For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

We are no surprise to God. He chose us before we were even formed in our mother's womb. He has a good plan for each of our lives to give us a future full of hope.

Pretty On The Inside

The most attractive thing about you should have less to do with your looks and more to do with your heart. ~ Quotes ~

I've known people who other people would not have considered attractive on the outside, but they were beautiful on the inside.

I remember years ago telling Bill how pretty I thought some of my friends were. He saw them and said, "You must see something I don't." Right, I knew them personally and they were beautiful to me.

Our Bible verses today say, "Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious. 1 Peter 3:3 & 4 NHGB

Our beauty should not just be how well we dress, our jewelry and how great our hair style is. We should strive to be pretty on the inside too.  The most attractive thing about us should be our heart and how we treat others. 

What Are You Expecting?

Positive expectations are important for success. For we tend to get what we expect. ~ Game Day Quotes ~

I find it interesting to watch how teams play when something is on the line. Boy, even though some may think they aren't up to the challenge, they do win, because they are positive they will.

I saw that years ago when the Dover/New Philadelphia game was dedicated to our son Todd. That year some people were not expecting the Dover team to win; but win they did! There was a drive within the players to win that overcame.

Do we always win because we want to? No, we don't. But how much better to live our lives having positive expectations. More often than not we do get what we expect.

Our Bible verse today says the Lord longs to be good to us and to show loving kindness to us. We are blessed when we wait (expect) Him to do so. (see Isaiah 30:18 AMPC)

What are we expecting? When we look for and expect the good things the Lord longs to give us we'll live a happier life. Remember, positive expectations are important for success. For we tend to get what we expect.

Happy Thoughtful Thursday

What a great way to see Thursday as "Thoughtful Thursday." Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone thought about how they could be kind to everyone on Thursday?

Our Bible verse today says, "Be kind and compassionate to one another." (see Ephesians 4:32) I like Galatians 6:10. It says, "Be mindful to be a blessing..." When we are mindful we will think about being kind, compassionate, and a blessing.

Happy Thoughtful Thursday! Let's be mindful to put these Bible verses into practice by being kind, compassionate, and a blessing to everyone we meet today.

I Don't Get It

Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop. ~ Cast Your Care Quotes ~

There are times in our lives when we just don't get it. We stress and worry because we don't understand what's going on.  In 1 Corinthians 13:12 it says, "All that I know now is partial and incomplete,but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely." Right now we may not get it, but someday we will.

Today's Bible verse is great advice. It says, "Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you." 1 Peter 5:7 NLT

When we give all of our cares and worries to God we can stay out of the darkroom of worry. Understanding that what we know is incomplete and partial can help us to cast our cares on Him before negatives can develop.
