Let Go Of The Old Embrace the New

by Kay Heitsch

"The only way to embrace the new is to let go of the old." K-Love Quote

I don't know about you, but I sometimes have a hard time letting go of the old. I have memories attached to these "old" things.

Today's Bible verse, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV

Today is the day to let go of the old and embrace the new knowing there is a time for every activity under the heavens.

God's Got It Covered

by Kay Heitsch

My license plate cover says, "No Worries. God's Got It Covered"

I was at a car wash one day and a woman behind me came up and knocked on my window. She said she just wanted me to know she really liked the message on my license plate cover.

When we go through life's storms we can write a note to ourselves, "Chill God's Got It Covered!"

Our Bible verse today says, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10 NLT

What a great way to live!  We can trust and believe that no matter what we are going through, "God's got it covered."

Run Your Own Race

 by Kay Heitsch

The race is not just for the swift, but for those who don't quit. ~ Quotes ~

Today was the Crim in Flint. The Crim is a race where people come from all over the world to run and walk. It's not a race just for the swift, but for everyone who wants to try and not quit.

Our Bible verse today is from Hebrews 12:1 , "And let us run with endurance the race that is before us. This verse also talks about having a "crowd of witnesses" watching us run our faith race.

Today there were many witnesses watching these people walk and run. We also have many witnesses watching us run our race of faith. We need to keep running our own race and not quit.

Enjoy The Ride

by Kay Heitsch

Life is a journey enjoy the ride. Don't wait for things to be perfect before you start to enjoying your life. ~ Enjoying Life Quotes ~

Yesterday I had was thinking about 'God's will' for my life when I thought about something I hadn't really thought of before. One thing that dawned on me was that 'God's will' is for us to enjoy our lives.

Somehow the Lord's prayer came to my mind. "Your kingdom come 'your will' be done on earth as it is in heaven" Matthew 6:10. How would God want us to live?

According to John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

Just by these two Bible verses I knew that 'God's will' is for us to enjoy our lives. Life is a journey. We can't wait for things to be perfect. We need to enjoy our lives right now.

Keep The Faith

by Kay Heitsch

"Keep the faith. The most amazing things happen in life tend to happen right at the moment you're about to give up hope." ~ Life Quotes ~

I saw a video yesterday of a guy who didn't give up. His testimony of not giving up inspired a lot of people to keep trying also.

Our Bible verse today says, I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 NIV

Sometimes it is a fight to keep the faith, keep believing, and not give up when things aren't going our way. As this quote says sometimes the most amazing things happen at just the right moment if we don't give up. Keep the faith!

Awesome Ability

by Kay Heitsch

"Smile and enjoy the fact that you have the "Awesome" ability to make a difference in someone's life today. Be a rainbow in someone else's cloud." ~ Be A... Quotes ~

We all have the "Awesome" ability to make a difference in someone's life today. If that doesn't give us a reason to smile I don't know what will.

Our Bible verse says, "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT

I think it's cool that we have the "Awesome" ability to make a difference in someone else's life each day. We can be a rainbow in someone else's cloud.

There Are No Strangers

by Kay Heitsch

"There are no strangers. Just friends we haven't met yet." ~ Quotes

I'm a people person. I like all kinds and types of people. To me there are no strangers. It may be because we've moved quite often, but really I was like this as a child too.

Today's Bible verse says, "Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!" Hebrews 13:2 NLT

Who knows maybe we all have met a few angels in our lives. Life becomes interesting and fun when we see strangers as friends and maybe even angels.
