Follow Love

Peace is seeing a sunset and knowing Who to thank. ~ Follow Love ~

Did you know that Love is a person? It's true. The Bible says in 1 John 4:8 that "God is Love". In 1 Corinthians 14:1, it says, "Follow after Love" When we follow after God we will have peace and know Who to thank when we see a sunrise or a sunset.

Jesus says in our Bible verse, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27 NIV

When we know God the Son, Jesus, we can have peace on the inside and not be afraid or troubled. We can also know Who to thank when we see a sunset.

Let's Get Living

What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for everything to be exactly how you like it to enjoy your life?

The older you get the more you realize you've been living longer than you have left on this earth. This should be a wake-up call to start enjoying your life now.

Our Bible verse says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10 ESV

Let's not allow the thief to steal and destroy our lives. Jesus came, He lived, died, and rose again so we may have life and have it abundantly. Let's get living that life!

The life you have left is a gift. Enjoy it now to the fullest.

Turn Up Your Praise

I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship. ~ Turn Up Your Praise Quotes ~

It's interesting how people handle the storms of life. We don't all handle troubles in the same way. I'm learning to turn up my praise and thank the Lord. I am confident that He is working behind the scenes. When I put my trust in Him I stay in peace.

Our Bible verse tells us how we should start our prayers, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. Psalm 100:4 NLT

Now is the time to give thanks and praise the LORD. Amazing things happened in troubled times when the people sang and praised. Read Acts 16:25-26, 2 Chronicles 20:20-24 These people learned how to sail their ships in troubled times.

I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship.

Keep Your Eyes Focused

Now, this is good news! When we keep our focus towards Jesus our troubles will fall behind us.

Today's Bible verse says, "Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end." Hebrews 12:2 GNT

Keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus will keep our faith stronger than your fears. This was the first verse I wrote in the front of my Bible many years ago.

Keep your face always toward the SONshine and the shadows will fall behind you.

Reconnect

We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere. ~ Reconnect Quotes ~

I've thought about people who have had an impact on my life. We all have taken different paths, but even still, I've taken their influence everywhere I've gone.

During this time of Shelter In Place, I've called people on the phone. I've reconnected with people who I haven't talked to in a long time. Some have done the same to me. I think this is a great time to reconnect.

Today's Bible verse says, "A man that has friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24 AKJV

One way to show yourself friendly is to reconnect with other people. But don't forget to stay connected to the one true friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Radiate Love

When we are a source of strength and courage we are allowing our Father's love to shine through us.

Our Bible verse says, "In the same way, your light must shine before people so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16 GNT

When we are a source of strength and courage and radiate love we are letting our light shine. When we do, others see it and praise our Father in heaven.

Let your light shine! Be a source of strength and courage. Radiate love.

It's Good To Laugh

Laughing is one of the best exercises, it's like running inside of your mind. ~ It's Good To Laugh Quotes ~

We all need exercise. But I guess I'd never thought about laughing as running inside of your mind. I had heard that laughing was internal jogging. It actually moves your internal organs around and enhances respiration.

Our Bible verse says, "A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength." Proverbs 17:22 NLT

A cheerful heart is a good medicine. If we are gloomy all the time we all know that saps our strength. Laughter may not add years to your life but it will surely add life to your years.
