I think most people would like to be remembered by their kindness, love, and willingness to help. To me, this is what's important in life.

This Bible verse says, Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith." Galatians 6:10

Whenever we have the opportunity we should do good to everyone. This should be our most useful asset.

Strength

There have been times in my life where I've thought, "I don't have the strength to do this on my own."

Our Bible verse today has helped me many times. "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13 BSV

It's awesome to step out and do something you thought you couldn't do. You find you have more strength than you thought you had.

Before You Know It

The older you get it seems like time is just flying by. Yesterday our children were little and now they are grown. Today is our youngest son's birthday. He's grown into a wonderful young man that we are very proud of. It seems like only yesterday he was a rambunctious little boy.

Our Bible verse says "Teach us how short our life is, so that we may become wise." Psalm 90:12 GNT

When we realize how short life really is we won't let precious time slip away.

Set An Example

I like to be around friendly people. So I deliberately go out of my way to smile and be friendly. Not everyone understands my friendliness, but most people respond in the same friendly way.

Today's Bible verse says "Treat others as you want them to treat you. This is what the Law and the Prophets are all about." Matthew 7:12 CEV

If we want people to be kind and show respect to us we need to put this Bible verse into practice. Treat others the way we want to be treated.

Set an example. Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Deliberately Practice

This kind of thinking was new to me a few years ago. I am learning that when a negative thought comes to my mind I can deliberately voice a positive thought to cancel it out.

The Bible is full of verses to help us keep positive thoughts in our minds. "Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise — practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8&9

I like the way the Bible says to "practice these things". I believe we are likely to think negative if we don't deliberately practice thinking good things.

Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking ever will.

It's Not Over

I have always loved this quote. What an inspirational thought! Just when we think it's over and done with something wonderful happens.

This is the story of Easter. Everyone thought it was over and done with when Jesus died.  But lo and behold it wasn't! It was a new beginning!

Our Bible verse says "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10

Jesus came to die on the cross so that we could not only have eternal life but also live the abundant life right here on earth.

Motivate Yourself

The biggest source of motivation is in your own thoughts, so think big and motivate yourself to win. Motivational Quotes

Our thoughts are the best source of motivation. We can think ourselves into success or failure. The choice is ours.

When we know that Christ will give us the strength to do whatever we need to do in life that's plenty of motivation.
