What Am I Supposed To Do?

I know this is hard to believe, but this is the Good News! Jesus paid it all on the cross, so our sins are forgiven and we can go to Heaven when we die. Now our work is to believe that what He did was enough. We absolutely can not add anything to this.

I recall a time years ago when I was studying the Bible. A thought came to me that I did not need to study the Bible to go to heaven. But if I wanted to live the life that Jesus died to give me, I would find out how by studying. What a freeing way to live!

We do not need to do anything but believe that what Jesus did for us is enough. However, when we genuinely believe our desires change. We do not have to, but we want to do good things because the Holy Spirit is living in us. We aren't doing anything out of obligation.

Obligation is religion! When we do things out of obligation, it's as if we're saying what Jesus did wasn't good enough for us. Obligation is a have to! We live under grace, so we want to.

Our Bible verses say. Then they asked Him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.” John 6:28&29 NIV

There ya have it! What God requires is the Gospel! Believe in Jesus and what He's done for you!
