Fear Vs. Faith

Living with the "Even if" attitude can help when dealing with difficult situations. Even if all hell breaks loose, I will keep a good attitude with God's help, which is much better than constantly thinking "what if" and expecting the worst.

Our Bible verse says. Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for You are with me; Your rod and your staff—they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 CSB

Even through tough times, we do not need to live in fear. We don't need to think "what if" and expect the worst. We can live by faith and know God is with us every step of the journey.

When we trust God, we know He has our backs. It doesn't matter what comes our way. If God is for us, who can be against us? I genuinely believe this.

People hurt us. God heals us. People humiliate us. God will magnify us. People judge us. God justifies us. God has our backs! I have watched this play out in my life! I'm sure many of you have, too.

Prayer Changes Things

When we pray, "God, please help me!" It may sound simple, but simple prayers have great power. God knows what we need. Seeing who and what God sends to help me has been amazing.

Here you go, a simple "LORD help!" prayer, and the LORD saved them from their distress. I love it! I've had days when I said, "God, please help me." Honestly, I didn't know what I needed help with, but I knew I needed His help.

God, please help me! Remember, prayer changes things.

Suddenly and Unexpectedly

Suddenly and unexpectedly, I started to have some severe health issues last month. I didn't know what hit me, but I felt my body was attacking me. It got so bad I could hardly get on or off the toilet without pain.

I kept doing what I usually did, although very slowly and with much pain. We had made plans to go out to eat with Bill's brother and his wife. I wondered what I would do if I had to go to the bathroom to get on and off the toilet.

When I went into the bathroom in one of the regular stalls, I was surprised to find a device to help me get on and off the toilet! I knew God understood my situation and had helped me!

I'm feeling better and better every day now, thanks to my daughter-in-law, a Rheumatologist, my friends, and God, my healer!

Yes, You Can

We can do hard things if we keep a good attitude—I truly believe this! We may need to talk to ourselves, but if we tell ourselves, "You can do hard things!" sooner or later, we will believe it.

When we know God is with us and can do whatever we need to do with His strength, we can keep a good attitude and do hard things.

Our Bible verse is one I have on our mirror. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10

Keeping a joyful attitude gives us strength. Being upset and grieved about our situations only brings us down.

Intentionally

We do not have to wait for others to encourage us. But we can and should encourage ourselves.

Even God encouraged Himself when He created our world. After each creation, He said, "This is good." He even said, "This is very good." The Bible did not report that the angels were standing around applauding Him. He encouraged Himself, and so can we.

Thanking God and encouraging ourselves is a compliment to Him. This may not come naturally to us, but we can do it intentionally.

Everywhere You Hurt

We have no idea what people are going through. We can be hurting in many different ways. God can bring healing through prayer, Bible study, people, medication, etc. We never know what or who God will use to bring about the healing we need.

The LORD is our healer. He has many ways to bring about healing in our lives. Just trust Him.

Rest Assured

Troubles With Patience

Well, isn't that easier said than done? I know it's the best way to handle any trouble, but it's hard sometimes. I want immediate relief, but I know it's best to trust God and His timing.

Rejoicing in hope can help us be patient in our troubles. We should also always keep on praying. That's good advice!

We must be determined and confident no matter where or what we do. Because the LORD our God is with us.

Natural + Supernatural

I have found this to be so true in my life's journey. I had to do something natural, even weird things, and God stepped in and did the supernatural.

My story about burying the bird is a perfect example of God bringing about supernatural healing when I did the natural by burying a dead bird.

When we include God in our everyday life, He can do the impossible.

If you do the natural, God will do the supernatural. If you do the ordinary, God will do the extraordinary.

All I Need

I've thought about this a lot over the years and concluded that God is enough! Because of my relationship with Him, I have all I need.

I have lived in different ways over the years. I've lived without God in my life and also now with God. There is a vast difference.

Just be sure you have God in your life. Because if you have God, you have all you need.

God is enough. If I have Him, I have all I need.

Seeing and Hearing

Something happened to me when I turned my life over to the LORD. I couldn't explain it, but I saw and understood things I had not before.

I not only saw how God was helping me now in my journey, but I also saw how He was with me all along, even when I didn't realize it.

When I studied the Bible, I saw and understood things I had never comprehended. It was amazing!

Our Bible verse says. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Matthew 13:16

We are most certainly blessed when our eyes and ears are opened to see and hear. It's hard to explain, but one thing I do know is that once, I was blind, but now I can see.
