Change Your Tune

By Kay Heitsch

Your attitude determines your direction. ~ You're Only One Attitude Away From Success Quotes ~
I remember my mom saying, "You better change your tune!" when I was in a bad mood. She was so right! If we want to enjoy life more, we must have a good attitude.
Our Bible verse says, Oh, sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done marvelous things! Psalm 98:1 ESV
We can change our tune if we find ourselves in a bad mood. We can sing a new song when we think of all the marvelous things the LORD has done!
Your attitude determines your direction. You're only one attitude away from success.

Life In The Word

By Kay Heitsch

Live! Love! Laugh! ~ Life In The Word Quotes~
When we spend time in God's word, it will show us how to live, how to love, and how to laugh and enjoy life. God's word gives us all we need for a meaningful life here and for our eternal life.
Our Bible verse says, "Jesus answered, "Scripture says, 'A person cannot live on bread alone but on every word that God speaks." Matthew 4:4 GWT
We know we need natural food, but we also need spiritual food to learn to live an overcoming life here and in eternity with God.
Live! Love! Laugh!

One Of A Kind

One Of A Kind By Kay Heitsch

I am who God says I am, and He made me one of a kind...so I must be pretty amazing. ~ What God Says About Me Quotes ~
Let's say what God says about us. I am blessed. I am victorious. I am talented. I am creative. I am strong. I am confident. I am secure. I am beautiful. I am attractive. I am valuable. I am free. I am redeemed. I am forgiven. I am accepted. I am approved. I am a child of the Most High God.
God has some fantastic things to say about each of us. There are not any two people who are exactly alike, even twins. We are all unique and special in His eyes.
Our Bible verse says He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11.
God has made everything beautiful, and that includes us! Each person is unique and beautiful in their own way.
I am who God says I am, and He made me one of a kind...so I must be pretty amazing.

Who Do You Say That I Am?

By Kay Heitsch

This is an important question. Who do you say that Jesus is?
Some will say He is a good man. Some will say that He is their Savior. Others will say He is their Savior and also the Lord of their lives.
How we live our life will determine how we answer this question.
When Jesus is your Savior, you will go to heaven when you die. It's a done deal! But to live an abundant life, Jesus needs to be the Lord of our lives. When He's the Lord of our life, He will help us to live an extraordinary life here on earth.
Our Bible verse says, "But what about you?" Jesus asked. "Who do you say I am?" Matthew 16:15 BSB
I have a picture of Jesus on my desk with the words above His picture that says, Who do you say that I am? This is a question that determines how I live my life.
What about you? Who do you say Jesus is?

What About My Son?

By Kay Heitsch

This question came to my mind. I had gotten into the trap of what I was supposed to do. Should I read the Bible more? Pray more? etc. etc. Then these words came. "What about my Son? Wasn't He enough? Anything you do is for your own good. The price has already been paid."
It wasn't very long before I encountered this Bible verse. "Jesus told them, "This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the One He has sent." John 6:29 NLT
The work God wants us to do is to believe in Jesus and His finished work on the cross.
Our Bible verse is one most people know. For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NIV
God loved the world so much that He came as a man (Jesus) who paid the price for our eternal life. Therefore, everyone who believes that what Jesus did was enough has eternal life.
The question still is, What About My Son? Has Jesus done enough for us, or do we still think we need to add our 2 cents worth?
Lord, help our unbelief.

What Are We Trying To Add?

By Kay Heitsch

When Jesus said, "It is finished" on the cross, He meant, It is finished! There is nothing we can add to the completed work of Jesus.
Will adding our good works or our good behavior help? Jesus came to fulfill the law. Matthew 5:17 He is the law! How we behave is for our own benefit. It won't help pay for our eternal life in Heaven.
How about adding our guilt and regret for whatever we have done? Psalm 103:12 says" "He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west."" Isaiah 43:25 says" "I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again."
As far as I can see, we can add nothing to the finished work Jesus did on the cross.
So how shall we live? I love John 10:10. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
I don't know about you, but I know I can't add anything to Jesus' finished work; I accept that Jesus paid it all. But I can live the abundant life Jesus died to give me with a thankful heart for His completed work.

It's A Done Deal

Keep Calm. Jesus Paid It All. ~ Abundant Life Quotes ~
When we think of Good Friday, many may wonder what's good about it. This is what's good about it. Jesus paid the price for all our sins and allowed us to live an abundant life here on Earth with a personal relationship with God. Plus, eternal life in Heaven!
Today's Bible verse says, "It is finished!" John 19:30
These words, "It is finished!" Jesus spoke on the cross. Everything He came to do was finished! He came to forgive our sins so we could live eternally with a personal relationship with God.
Keep Calm. Jesus Paid It All.
