Who Is God?

By Kay Heitsch

In Jesus Christ, God took on human face and became our friend, brother, and Savior of the world. ~ Life Quotes ~
I had never thought much about who God was until I started studying the Bible for myself. Seeing many scriptures that let me know who God was was eye-opening.
Here are a few I found. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1, In the beginning, was the Word (Jesus Christ), the Word was with God, and the Word (Jesus Christ) was God. John 1:1. Through Him (Jesus Christ), all things were made; without Him, nothing was made that has been made. John 1:3 For in Him (Jesus Christ) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. Colossians. I (Jesus Christ) and the Father are One. John 10:30.
For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One. 1 John 5:7 KJV
There you have it! God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. All three are God.
These verses make it clear that Jesus is God the Son. He created the heavens and earth and everything in them.
In Jesus Christ, God took on human face and became our friend, brother, and Savior of the world.
